2 pounds ground beef sirloin
½ onion, grated
1 tablespoon grill seasoning
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers
1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
6 (1 ounce) slices sharp Cheddar cheese (Optional)
6 hamburger buns

Instructions

    1. Begin by preheating an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
    2. In a large bowl, combine the ground sirloin, grated onion, grill seasoning, liquid smoke flavoring, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, adobo sauce, and chopped chipotle pepper. Form the mixture into 6 patties and season generously with salt and pepper.
    3. Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook until they are no longer pink in the center, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of sharp Cheddar cheese, if desired.
    4. Once done, assemble the burgers on hamburger buns and serve hot.
