- Begin by preheating an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground sirloin, grated onion, grill seasoning, liquid smoke flavoring, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, adobo sauce, and chopped chipotle pepper. Form the mixture into 6 patties and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook until they are no longer pink in the center, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of sharp Cheddar cheese, if desired.
- Once done, assemble the burgers on hamburger buns and serve hot.
