Succulent Grilled Lemon Chicken
Elevate your taste buds with these succulent grilled lemon chicken breasts, marinated in a blend of savory seasonings, butter, and zesty fresh lemon juice.
Ingredients
4 | skinless, boneless chicken breasts |
---|---|
2 | lemons, cut into wedges |
1 | teaspoon salt |
1 | teaspoon garlic powder |
½ | teaspoon paprika |
½ | teaspoon ground black pepper |
¼ | cup unsalted butter, melted, divided |
1 | teaspoon white sugar, or more to taste |
Instructions
1. | Begin by tenderizing the chicken breasts by poking the surface all over with a knife or fork. Rub the chicken with the cut surfaces of lemons, squeezing to release some juice. Reserve the remaining juice for grilling. |
---|---|
2. | In a bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, paprika, and ground black pepper. Brush the chicken with half of the melted butter and sprinkle with half of the seasoning mix. |
3. | Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate. |
4. | Grill the chicken for 7 to 10 minutes, then flip. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the chicken, brush with the remaining butter, and sprinkle with the rest of the seasonings. Continue grilling until the chicken is no longer pink in the centers and the juices run clear, for an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer. |
5. | Just before serving, sprinkle the chicken with sugar and grill for an additional 2 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy! |
