A classic Middle Eastern dish featuring a flavorful blend of ground beef or lamb, bulgur wheat, and aromatic spices, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or lamb
½ small onion, finely chopped
½ pound cracked bulgur wheat
½ cup pinenuts
1 teaspoon each of allspice, cumin and salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried mint
Olive oil

Instructions

1. Begin by washing the bulgur wheat, draining it, and allowing it to stand for 30 minutes.
2. Using a food processor, combine all the ingredients until well blended.
3. Prepare a small rectangular baking pan by buttering it, then press the mixture into the pan. Cut into traditional diamond shapes resembling Baklava, and drizzle olive oil on top.
4. Bake the kibbee at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 minutes or until it achieves a beautiful golden brown color.
