2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-sized chunks
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons white vinegar

¼ teaspoon ground coriander
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon oil
ground sumac (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine boneless skinless chicken breast chunks, chopped onion, minced garlic, white vinegar, lemon juice, salt, cumin, ground coriander, ground ginger, ground cloves, black pepper, and oil. Mix well, cover, and let it marinate for an hour.
2. Cook the marinated chicken mixture over medium heat in a large saucepan until fully cooked and slightly dry.
3. If preferred, remove the chicken pieces for those who do not enjoy onions and garlic.
4. For an authentic experience, use Arabian pita bread sourced from an international store as it enhances the flavor significantly compared to regular pita bread.
5. Warm the pita bread and spread a thin layer of mayo on it.
6. Place the cooked chicken along one side of the bread and tightly wrap it into a shawarma roll.
7. For added variation, consider including French fries or pickles in the wrap.
8. For a flavorful twist, mix mayo with lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic to use as a spread instead of plain mayo.
