These flavorful and slightly spicy pork chops marinated with garlic and lime are perfect as a main course or can be used to create delicious pork tacos. A quick and simple recipe ideal for any weeknight dinner.

¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, divided
teaspoon paprika
teaspoon onion powder
1 ½ pounds pork chops
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

    1. In a bowl, combine salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder. Generously sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of the pork chops.
    2. In a large, heavy skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Cook the pork chops until they are no longer pink in the center and golden brown on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate, while keeping the juices in the skillet.
    3. To the same skillet, add lime juice and the remaining garlic powder to the reserved juices. Stir well to combine and pour this flavorful mixture over the cooked pork chops.
