Zesty Garlic-Lime Pork Chops
These flavorful and slightly spicy pork chops marinated with garlic and lime are perfect as a main course or can be used to create delicious pork tacos. A quick and simple recipe ideal for any weeknight dinner.

¼ | teaspoon ground black pepper |
¼ | teaspoon chili powder |
¼ | teaspoon garlic powder, divided |
⅛ | teaspoon paprika |
⅛ | teaspoon onion powder |
1 ½ | pounds pork chops |
2 | tablespoons butter |
1 | tablespoon olive oil |
3 | tablespoons lime juice |
2 | teaspoons garlic powder |
Instructions
1. | In a bowl, combine salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder. Generously sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of the pork chops. |

2. | In a large, heavy skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Cook the pork chops until they are no longer pink in the center and golden brown on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate, while keeping the juices in the skillet. |
3. | To the same skillet, add lime juice and the remaining garlic powder to the reserved juices. Stir well to combine and pour this flavorful mixture over the cooked pork chops. |
