Autumn Harvest Fruit Compote

A delightful and versatile fruit compote made with a mix of seasonal autumn fruits and a touch of passionfruit.

1 | cup granulated sugar |

2 | Seckel Pears, diced |
1 | Passionfruit, juiced and strained |
1 | Plum, peeled and pitted |
½ | Apple, diced |
Instructions
1. | Begin by preparing the passionfruit. Place a strainer over a small bowl, and extract the juice by straining out the seeds. Set aside. |

2. | Peel the plum, remove the pit, and place the flesh in a saucepan. |
3. | Dice the pears and apple, and add them to the saucepan along with the granulated sugar and the reserved passionfruit juice. |
4. | Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat and simmer for 10-20 minutes. It will initially be watery, but will thicken after about 10 minutes. Continue cooking to your desired consistency, or remove from heat. |
5. | Transfer the mixture to a food processor and pulse until smooth. Allow to cool before serving. |
6. | Enjoy this delectable compote! Serve it as a topping on ice cream, spread on toast, or use it as a fruity sweetener in desserts. |
