2 all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
fresh cracked pepper
5 tablespoons cold butter
½ cup sharp cheddar
3 green onions
¼ cup milk
2 large eggs

Instructions

    1. Begin by preheating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large mixing bowl, delicately combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, garlic powder, and a touch of freshly cracked pepper (approximately 5 twists of a pepper mill).
    2. Proceed by cutting the cold butter into small pieces, then incorporate it into the flour mixture. Gently work the butter into the flour until the texture resembles damp sand, ensuring there are no large butter chunks. Subsequently, fold in the shredded cheddar and the thinly sliced green onions.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until a smooth liquid forms. Pour this mixture into the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Stir until a sticky dough ball forms, making sure there is no dry flour left at the base of the bowl. If needed, use your hands to bring the dough together.
    4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface, then gently press it into an 8-inch diameter circle, approximately 1-inch thick. Proceed by cutting the circle into 8 equal wedges.
