A warm and delightful dessert featuring a medley of citrus fruits topped with a delicious brown sugar glaze.

Ingredients

2 red grapefruits, peeled and sectioned or refrigerated grapefruit sections, drained
2 oranges, peeled and sectioned
1 cup pineapple chunks or canned pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

    1. In a medium bowl, combine the freshly peeled and sectioned red grapefruits, oranges, and pineapple chunks.
    2. Divide the fruit mixture evenly into four individual broiler-safe au gratin dishes or a 1-quart broiler-safe au gratin dish or casserole.
    3. In a small bowl, carefully stir together the packed brown sugar and softened butter until a well-mixed glaze forms; then sprinkle it generously over the fruit in each dish.
    4. Place the dishes about 4 inches from the heat source in the oven and broil for 5 to 6 minutes, until the sugar glaze becomes bubbly and caramelized.
