Decadent Chocolate Almond Bonbons

Ingredients
4 | ounces sweet baking chocolate |

2 | tablespoons milk |
1⁄4 | cup sugar |
3⁄4 | cup margarine or butter, softened |
2 | teaspoons vanilla |
2 | cups all-purpose flour |
1⁄4 | teaspoon salt |
1 | package (3 ½ ounce) almond paste |
Instructions
1. | Preheat the oven to 350°F. |

2. | In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the sweet baking chocolate in milk, stirring occasionally until smooth. |
3. | In a large bowl, cream together 1/4 cup of sugar and softened margarine until light and fluffy. |
4. | Mix in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla. |
5. | Add the all-purpose flour and salt, and mix until well combined. |
6. | Using rounded teaspoonfuls of dough, shape into balls. |
7. | Place the shaped dough balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. |
8. | Create an indentation in the center of each cookie. |
9. | Fill each indentation with a scant 1/4 teaspoon of almond paste, then press the dough around the filling to cover it. |
10. | Bake at 350°F for 9 to 11 minutes or until set. |
11. | Remove the cookies from the sheets and roll them in sugar. |
12. | Allow the bonbons to cool completely before serving. |
13. | Yield: 4 dozen delectable bonbons. |
