3 1⁄2 | peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces, halved lengthwise |
5 | or to taste |
1⁄3 | cup balsamic vinegar |
1⁄4 | cup chopped |
Instructions

- In a heavy large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the carrots and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Cover and cook until the carrots are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally, for about 7 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar and balsamic vinegar.
- Cook uncovered until the carrots are tender and glazed, stirring frequently, for about 12 minutes longer.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Add the chopped parsley or cilantro and toss to blend.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.
