1 cheesecloth

Instructions

    1. Begin by placing the unsalted butter in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, allowing the butter to melt and the milk solids to surface.
    2. Carefully skim off the milk solids from the surface until the butter becomes clear.
    3. Next, strain the clarified butter through the cheesecloth into clean containers. Store the clarified butter in the refrigerator for several weeks or freeze for up to a year.
