Ingredients

Sauteed Shrimp

1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 pinch cayenne pepper (or to taste) or ΒΌ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
3 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 cup dry white wine
1 large lemon, juice of
salt & freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Sauteed Shrimp

    1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped garlic and cayenne pepper, saute for 2 minutes until softened.
    2. Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil over medium heat. Let it simmer uncovered until reduced by at least half.
    3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Drizzle the juice of a lemon over the shrimp. Stir until the shrimp turn translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them as it will make them tough. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
    4. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the dish with freshly chopped parsley.
