Ingredients

For Linguine with Garlic Shrimp and Peas:

8 ounces linguine
1 package (10 ounce) frozen peas, thawed
1 34 lbs large shrimp, peeled, tails left on, deveined, and butterflied
14 cup butter, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
12 teaspoon salt
12 cup white wine or ½ cup chicken broth
14 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
14 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • For Linguine with Garlic Shrimp and Peas:

    1. Cook the linguine according to the package directions, adding the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Drain.
    2. In a large nonstick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, and salt; cook, stirring, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 5-6 minutes. Add the white wine during the last 1 minute of cooking time.
    3. Stir in the lemon juice, zest, and the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter until the butter just melts. Add the cooked pasta and pea mixture; cook, stirring, until heated through, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
