| 1 3⁄4 | lbs large shrimp, peeled, tails left on, deveined, and butterflied | 
| 1⁄4 | cup butter, divided | 
| 2 | garlic cloves, minced | 
| 1⁄2 | teaspoon salt | 
| 1⁄2 | cup white wine or ½ cup chicken broth | 
| 1⁄4 | cup lemon juice | 
| 1 | teaspoon grated lemon zest | 
| 1⁄4 | cup chopped fresh parsley | 
| For Linguine with Garlic Shrimp and Peas: | |

| 1. | Cook the linguine according to the package directions, adding the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Drain. | 
| 2. | In a large nonstick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, and salt; cook, stirring, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 5-6 minutes. Add the white wine during the last 1 minute of cooking time. | 
| 3. | Stir in the lemon juice, zest, and the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter until the butter just melts. Add the cooked pasta and pea mixture; cook, stirring, until heated through, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately. |
