2 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 medium potato, cooked and mashed
1 head head of cabbage, shredded and lightly steamed

    1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet, crumble, and set aside.
    2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and gently fry until tender. Add the cooked and mashed potato and shredded, lightly steamed cabbage. Press the mixture together to form a large cake. Cook until the first side is browned, then carefully turn with a spatula to brown the other side.
    3. Once both sides of the hash are browned, carefully slide it out of the skillet onto a serving plate. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
    4. Serve the savory bacon and potato hash with toast and/or eggs on the side. Enjoy!
