- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet, crumble, and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and gently fry until tender. Add the cooked and mashed potato and shredded, lightly steamed cabbage. Press the mixture together to form a large cake. Cook until the first side is browned, then carefully turn with a spatula to brown the other side.
- Once both sides of the hash are browned, carefully slide it out of the skillet onto a serving plate. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
- Serve the savory bacon and potato hash with toast and/or eggs on the side. Enjoy!
