Savory Sausage Breakfast Casserole

¾ | teaspoon dry mustard |
2 1⁄2 | cups milk |
1 | (10 ½ ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, diluted |
1⁄2 | cup milk |
Instructions
For the casserole | |

1. | Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). |
2. | Spread the seasoned croutons in a greased 9x13 baking dish. |
3. | In a skillet, brown the Jimmy Dean sausage, drain, and layer over the croutons in the baking dish. |
4. | Sprinkle the pre-shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage in the baking dish. |
5. | In a bowl, beat the eggs with dry mustard and 2 1/2 cups of milk. Pour this mixture over the layers in the baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight. |
6. | Before baking, dilute the cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 cup of milk and pour over the casserole. |
7. | Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours until the casserole is set. Let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into servings. |
