14 | ounces Jimmy Dean sausage, browned and drained |
8 | ounces pre-shredded cheddar cheese |
4 | eggs |
¾ | teaspoon dry mustard |
2 1⁄2 | cups milk |
1 | (10 ½ ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, diluted |
1⁄2 | cup milk |
Instructions

For the casserole
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the seasoned croutons in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the Jimmy Dean sausage, drain, and layer over the croutons in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the pre-shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with dry mustard and 2 1/2 cups of milk. Pour this mixture over the layers in the baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Before baking, dilute the cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 cup of milk and pour over the casserole.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours until the casserole is set. Let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into servings.
