Ingredients

For the chicken wings

2 lbs chicken wings, cut at joints and tips discarded
1 cup Louisiana hot sauce for marinade
1 cup flour
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • For the chicken wings

    1. Prepare the chicken wings by cutting them at the joints and discarding the tips. Place the wings in a plastic bag with half a cup of Louisiana hot sauce. Mix together and marinate for a minimum of 2 hours.
    2. In a bowl, pour the milk. In another bowl, combine the flour, breadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder for the breading. Remove the wing pieces from the marinade, coat them with the breading mixture, dip in milk, and coat again with the breading mixture. Place the wings on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes, turning once during cooking.
    3. In a saucepan, mix together the butter, hot sauce, vinegar, and garlic powder. Heat until the butter is melted. Once the wings are cooked, brush the sauce over the wings. Serve with french fries, garlic bread, carrot sticks, celery sticks, and blue cheese dipping sauce.
