Ingredients

| 1⁄2 | pound fresh string beans, cleaned | 
| 1⁄2 | teaspoon sugar | 
| 3 | tablespoons oil | 
| 1 | garlic clove, finely minced | 
| 1 | piece fresh ginger, peeled & minced fine | 
| 1 | teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in chicken broth, and soy sauce | 
Instructions

| 1. | Marinate the thinly sliced beef in a mixture of cornstarch, sherry, and soy sauce for about 30 minutes. | 
| 2. | Blanch the fresh green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then rinse them in cold water. | 
| 3. | Heat oil in a wok and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant. | 
| 4. | Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until the color changes. | 
| 5. | Toss in the blanched green beans and sugar, stir-fry for an additional minute. | 
| 6. | Pour in the mixture of dissolved cornstarch, chicken broth, and soy sauce, and stir-fry until the sauce thickens. |
