For the Stir-Fry

¾ lb flank steaks or London broil beef, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon sherry wine
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
½ lb fresh string beans, cleaned
½ teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons oil
1 garlic clove, finely minced
1 piece fresh ginger, peeled & minced fine
1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in chicken broth, and soy sauce

Instructions

For the Stir-Fry

1. Marinate the thinly sliced beef in a mixture of cornstarch, sherry, and soy sauce for about 30 minutes.
2. Blanch the fresh green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then rinse them in cold water.
3. Heat oil in a wok and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
4. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until the color changes.
5. Toss in the blanched green beans and sugar, stir-fry for an additional minute.
