Cheddar-Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast

A delightful and cheesy twist on classic chicken breast, coated in a crispy cheddar and parmesan crust.

8 | boneless skinless chicken breasts |

1/2 | cup finely crushed corn flakes (measured 1/2 cup after crushing) |
1/2 | cup Shake & Bake chicken coating mix (Southern Fried or regular flavor) |
3/4 | cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/3 | cup finely grated cheddar cheese |
1/2 | cup melted butter (a little more butter may be needed) |
1 | teaspoon garlic powder |
seasoning salt (to taste) | |
fresh ground black pepper (to taste) |
Instructions

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Adjust the oven rack to the lowest position.
- Grease a medium jelly-roll pan or a baking pan large enough to accommodate the chicken.
- In a shallow dish, combine the finely crushed corn flakes, Shake & Bake chicken coating mix, parmesan cheese, and grated cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder.
- Dip each chicken breast first in the melted butter, then coat with the cornflake mixture.
- Arrange the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
- Season the top of each breast with a sprinkle of seasoned salt and fresh ground black pepper.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, but not overcooked (should not exceed 35 minutes of baking time).
