A delightful and cheesy twist on classic chicken breast, coated in a crispy cheddar and parmesan crust.

Ingredients

8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup finely crushed corn flakes (measured 1/2 cup after crushing)
1/2 cup Shake & Bake chicken coating mix (Southern Fried or regular flavor)
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/3 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter (a little more butter may be needed)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
seasoning salt (to taste)
fresh ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Adjust the oven rack to the lowest position.
    3. Grease a medium jelly-roll pan or a baking pan large enough to accommodate the chicken.
    4. In a shallow dish, combine the finely crushed corn flakes, Shake & Bake chicken coating mix, parmesan cheese, and grated cheddar cheese.
    5. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder.
    6. Dip each chicken breast first in the melted butter, then coat with the cornflake mixture.
    7. Arrange the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
    8. Season the top of each breast with a sprinkle of seasoned salt and fresh ground black pepper.
    9. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, but not overcooked (should not exceed 35 minutes of baking time).
