Ingredients: 8

A succulent prime rib roast seasoned with a delightful blend of herbs and spices, roasted to perfection for a memorable dining experience.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons McCormick® Basil Leaves
2 tablespoons McCormick® Oregano Leaves
1 tablespoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
2 teaspoons McCormick® Onion Powder
1 teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Ground
1 boneless beef rib roast, 5 to 6 pounds
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine McCormick® Basil Leaves, McCormick® Oregano Leaves, McCormick® Garlic Powder, McCormick® Onion Powder, and McCormick® Black Pepper, Ground. Set the mixture aside.
    2. Trim excess fat from the top of the boneless beef rib roast, leaving a layer of fat approximately 1/4-inch thick. Place the roast on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Brush the beef with oil, then sprinkle with salt. Coat the roast generously with the prepared seasoning mixture.
    3. Roast the beef, uncovered, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for a medium-rare finish (approximately 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 hours) or 140°F for a medium finish (approximately 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 hours). Cover the roast with foil and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before carving. (During this resting period, the meat's temperature will rise by about 10 degrees.)
