Making the Dough for Rolls
- Add water, eggs, butter, salt, flour, sugar, and yeast to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
- Select the dough/manual cycle. Once the cycle is complete, transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.
- Knead in additional flour if needed to achieve a smooth and easy-to-handle dough.

Shaping and Baking
- Shape the dough into rolls as desired.
- Cover the rolls and allow them to rise in a warm, draft-free place until almost doubled in size, approximately 20-30 minutes.
- Mix the lightly beaten egg with sugar, then brush it onto the tops of the rolls.
