Ultimate Macaroni & Cheese Casserole

Ingredients

For the Casserole
1 1⁄2	lbs ground chuck
1	jar spaghetti sauce
2	(7 1/4 ounce) boxes Kraft macaroni and cheese, prepared following box directions
2	cups cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

• For the Casserole

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground chuck and onion until cooked through.
  2. Pour in the jar of spaghetti sauce, stir well, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Kraft macaroni and cheese according to the box directions.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large casserole dish with butter.
  5. Spread half of the prepared macaroni and cheese in an even layer on the bottom of the casserole dish.
  6. Top the macaroni and cheese layer with the meat sauce, followed by 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Add the remaining macaroni and cheese on top of the cheese layer, then pour the rest of the meat sauce over it.
  8. Finish by sprinkling another cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
